Hi, I’m Kishaloy Roy

I'm 19 years old and from India. I've been programming since I was 13 and been in the biz since 14. I actually took up programming as a hobby during 2019 when COVID-19's lockdown just started. Unknowingly it became my passion and something that I had to do every day or else I felt "incomplete" at the end of the day. I do believe that the pre-AI era was much better for learning since you got exposure to platforms like Google, StackOverflow, AskUbuntu, StackExchange, etc. This actually taught me how to look for something which proved insanely beneficial in my journey as a programmer.

I eventually decided to convert it into my profession & tried the waters of something called freelancing. Started off with discord bots and later expanded to whatever I knew. Lurking in discord servers 24/7 back then helped me land some great freelancing clients who are still, to this day, my clients! Gradually my professional network grew and I got high valued projects that taught me more than any school or universities ever could/can!

If I had to say, I would probably call myself a Backend Developer specializing in building APIs, databases and high throughput servers. I also picked up an interest for low-level programming since I really wanted to learn how everything worked at the deepest levels and taught myself C and x86 Assembly (FASM, NASM).
